In Spring 2019, we released a new and improved version of the eyeWitness to Atrocities app. The app is now easier to use, while retaining its industry leading verification and authentication features to ensure your footage is protected from accusations of being fake or modified.
The new app allows you to record footage more quickly than before. You can now see the date and location metadata for the footage in real time. You also have the option to share your notes as well as the footage with your trusted contacts. As before, your footage will remain safely hidden. You alone can enter the app’s secure gallery: anyone else will just see the photos of your phone’s normal photo gallery.
In addition to streamlining usability, we have also improved the security features to address threats that have arisen with older version of Android. The new app has undergone a series of professional penetration and vulnerability tests to ensure the security and integrity of the information you collect.
The eyeWitness to Atrocities app is available for download on Android devices from the
Google Play Store.
