Watch WITNESS’ latest video for human rights documenters, featuring eyeWitness

WITNESS has launched a video series titled ‘Guide to Human Rights Documentation’ for human rights defenders who use photos and videos to document atrocities. WITNESS is a non-governmental organisation that helps people use video and technology to protect and defend human rights.

Featuring eyeWitness to Atrocities Director, Wendy Betts, Part 1 of the series explains why using a verifiable camera is so important when it comes to seeking justice, and how documenters can benefit from the eyeWitness app. The video also takes viewers through a practical walk-through on how to download and use the app.

“…we still live in a world where justice for atrocity crimes actually takes a really long time,” says Betts in the video. “So, my hope is that increasing the ability of human rights defenders to collect verifiable information in real time and share that quickly will prompt quicker action and allow us to see justice happening much sooner.”

Part 1 of the new series is currently available to watch on YouTube.
